About The Role:
The Project Manager (Integration) will be responsible for managing a discrete platform integration, and rollout project for a maritime platform in support of the Army Capability Managers and external stakeholder requirements. The Project Manager (Integration) will exercise a considerable degree of independence and perform leadership and collaborative functions across a complex, long-term integration program.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, develop, coordinate and support capability enhancements throughout the project management lifecycle from user requirements/statements of work (UR/SOW) to approved designs for integration on platforms and transition.
- For new projects, this may include working closely with identified
stakeholders and theLC4S Branch Work Take On (WTO) team to scope needs and user requirements as well as required resources. - Coordinate and support the Plat-IES Engineering Manager(s) and technical team in allocating and prioritising resources and workflows for non-recurring engineering and integration activities, developing strategies and evaluating product outputs addressing or considering requirements such as: a program management plan, project/product management plans, system management
plans and reporting, stakeholder liaison and engagement, configuration management, security accreditation, system reviews, change management, budget management, and other governance activities as directed. - Manage individual schedules to ensure effective completion of all scheduled task and activities and work with the Scheduler to incorporate changes to the master schedule where required.
- Represent the team and SPO, as required, and contribute to internal and external stakeholder groups on assigned projects and wider integration- related matters.
- Represent the team to enable transition of finalised engineering designs to platform owners and original equipment manufacturers, including aiding Engineering.
- Work with the Engineering and Integrated Logistics Management (ILS) teams to ensure that all project-related documentation and requirements are delivered in line with extant standards, agreements and timeframes.
About You:
- Relevant tertiary qualifications or relevant industry and/or domain work experience, and current and relevant project management experience within Defence or a military environment.
- Experience in the delivery of Defence projects.
- Experience in logistically complex projects in the Defence environment.
- Recognised project management professional qualification (e.g. Australian Institute of Project Managers (AIPM)).
- Knowledge commensurate with the skill level required of relevant Australian and International Standards, regulations, and Defence requirements.
- Experience in the Land C4 environment and delivery of integrated solutions to Land platforms.
- Experience in Maritime and/or Littoral projects and programs.
- Understanding of the content of Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK) and its application in the Defence project management environment.
- Experience or qualifications in Agile project management.
- An engineering qualification or experience working in an engineering environment.
- Understanding of ODCS and FIC.
Already have or ability to obtain a Negative Vetting 1 Security Clearance - Experience working with Defence Prime contractors on deliverables-based contracts
