About The Role:

Joint Command and Control System Program Office is seeking a suitably
qualified and experienced Logistics Support Officer to operate as an embedded part of the Logistic team

Key Responsibilities:

  • Achieve complex material logistics work within an integrated workforce.
  • Independently with the opportunity for reasonable autonomy for the achievement of work outcomes, ensuring compliance within
    legislative frameworks, government decision-making and Defences mission and policy requirements.
  • They will exercise both initiative and judgement in the interpretation of policy and in the application of practices and procedures.
  • Provide detailed materiel logistics technical, professional and policy advice in relation to complex work 
  • Contribute to strategic planning, program and project management and policy development.
  • Accountable to set work priorities and manage workflows, building the team through coaching, feedback and development of quality of work.
  • They will be accountable to contribute towards ongoing self-improvement and professional development.
  • High level of stakeholder engagement in consultation with the Inventory Manager
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders in relation to complex issues. They will be required to identify, anticipate and respond to stakeholders' needs and expectations to achieve work unit and Defence outcomes.

About You:

  • Highly organised and able to multi-task with a clear bias for action and a sense of urgency on priorities.
  • Ability to work well with others in a fast paced and dynamic environment
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
  • Materiel Logistics Practitioners Course (MLPC).
  • Certificate IV Logistics Management.
  • Minimum 6 (six) years' experience.
  • Diploma of Material Logistics
  • Ability to adhere to CASG Values and behaviours.
  • NV1 Security Clearance 
  • The following MILIS profiles:
    • Catalogue DLM (CATDLM)
    • Inventory Controller
    • Technical Manager
