About The Role:

The Service Provider shall provide systems engineering services associated with requirements engineering, engineering metrics, integration engineering, Verification and Validation (V&V), test and evaluation, and technical performance measures

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain security engineering related artefacts (e.g. System Overview Document, Business Impact Level, Security Risk Management Plan, Standard Operating Procedures, Security Classification & Categorisation Guide and other documents required in the Security Documentation Pack).
  • Support the engineering and configuration management activities of the Platform Systems team, including the development and review of procedural documentation.
  • Assist and provide guidance to the Integration Engineering Manager on engineering and configuration management.
  • Support current in-service equipment by providing ICT security updates and issues from Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs). Assist in testing and maintaining ICT security systems changes.
  • Assist in the preparation of documentation and reports required for
    Configuration Control Boards (CCBs) and LC4I SPO Engineering Review Boards (ERB).
  • Work closely with D-ICT Security Branch representatives to ensure acceptance of security documentation pack.
  • Conduct capability and concept development, requirements analysis and development.
  • Conduct process and architecture analysis and development.
  • Conduct and design and implementation.
  • Conduct V&V.
  • Conduct certification and support.
  • Plan and deliver engineering services, regulatory compliance, resource management, and project outcomes.
  • Conduct reviews of contract deliverables.

About You:

  • A qualified practitioner with higher degree qualifications or relevant industry experience of more than 8 years.
  • Previous Defence experience is highly desirable.
  • Practical knowledge of security management, as defined by the Defence Security Principles Framework (DSPF).
  • Extensive industry and specialty experience in electrical engineering and systems integration including integration on maritime platforms.
  • Already have; or have the ability, to obtain a Negative Vetting 1 Security Clearance.
  • Comply with ITARs requirements.
  • Experience with RF environments and wireless communications in
    contested communications or electronic warfare domains.
  • Experience in digital communications protocols and signal conversion techniques.
  • Experience driving processes and process improvements, including
    continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Experience with US Export Controls including Technical Assistance
    Agreements (TAA) and Third-Party Retransfer authorisations.
