About the job Lead Cost Analyst
About The Role:
This role is within the CASG environment working on Land 4140 project,
completing Commercial Pricing and Finance work as part of a major acquisition. The Lead Cost Analyst will be responsible for all activities related to project cost estimation and preparing the cost submission, and other commercial activities for the project as required
Key Responsibilities:
- Development of whole-of-life Project cost estimates in the Capability Costing Tool, potentially also developed in ACEIT software.
- Provision of statistical simulation of cost and schedule risks, as required.
- Development of financial business case documentation in support of Government Committee processes.
- Provision of general and whole of life statistical cost analysis on tendered responses in support of the financial evaluation.
- Conduct of financial analysis in support of project execution planning.
- Compilation of comprehensive basis of estimate documentation in support of the financial business case.
- Carriage of the cost proposal through Capability Costing Branch, Department of Finance and other External Agency review.
- Provision of written and oral briefs to internal and external senior leadership.
- Strategic funding guidance to achieve program affordability.
- Short turn-around development and provision of all cost modelling artefacts for multiple Committee stages, as required.
- Support the preparation of briefing materials and status updates for project leadership.
- Other tasks as directed by the Project Manager or Pricing Lead.
About You:
- Project experience in the Land Domain,
- practical knowledge and experience in
leading the development of cost models to support Government Submissions of a major acquisition project - Experience in the evaluation of complex tender processes
- Experience in estimation of project costs including development of cost models to support Government submissions, development and evaluation of tenders with specific focus on the financial aspects of a tender.
