About the Role:

  • The primary role of the CJC03 Tactical Data Link Specialist is provide Subject Matter Expert advice on behalf of the CASG Sustainment organisation on all mattersrelating to the user interface and useability of CJC03 Products and Systems. This may include, but not necessarily limited to representing the organisation as part of formal Commonwealth Working Groups and advising senior engineers on operator/user issues.
  • The secondary role of the CJC03 Tactical Data Link Specialist will be to provide technical support to the CJC03 Engineering Support Services Team.
  • Understanding of the Systems Engineering Lifecycle or a willingness to learn.
  • 7+ years industry experience within the relevant field
  • NV1 clearance required (NV2 Preferred) - Must be able to be cleared to access International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) Data.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide User/ Operator SME advice and Technical advice to the ICSI Design Authority.
  • Provide User/ Operator SME advice and technical advice to Acquisition and Sustainment Engineering and ILS Teams.
  • Provide technical support to CJC03 product, system and fleet managers.
  • Act as the technical principle point of contact on behalf of CASG Acquisition and Sustainment teams and JCG (Principally, the Joint Interface Control Officer (JICO)).
  • Assist the Lead Sustainment Engineer with Engineering Tasks.
  • Assist with Technical Certification and System Safety Assessments of CJC03
  • Tactical Data Link Equipment.
  • Represent JP9347 and CJC03 during formal Commonwealth Working Groups.
  • User Stakeholder Engagement and Management.

Desirable Candidate:

  • Experience working in both Acquisition and Sustainment projects.
  • Experience working on remediation projects within defence.
  • Understanding of Interim Authority to Operate (IATO) processes.
  • Understanding of Facilities requirements with respect to the installation of TDL equipment.
  • Understanding of Test and Evaluation concepts with respect to TDL Equipment.
  • Must have a consultative approach to doing their work.
  • Strong interpersonal skills will ensure ongoing success in this role as will the ability to communicate at all levels within the organisation to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
