About the Role:

We have an opportunity for an experienced Logistics Specialist to join our team in Penrith, NSW. This role provides logistics and supply chain assistance support to our Technology Delivery teams, the broader C4i Operational teams and our clients.

About the role:

• Plan, coordinate, and monitor the movement, storage, and distribution of goods, materials, and equipment.
• Co-ordinate inbound and outbound logistics, including freight forwarding, customs clearance, and delivery scheduling.
• Provide inventory management services, ensuring stock levels are maintained and reconciled accurately.
• Liaise with suppliers, logistics providers, and internal teams to ensure timely delivery of requirements.
• Prepare and process purchase orders, shipping documents, and related logistics paperwork.
• Track shipments and resolve delivery delays, damages, or discrepancies.
• Coordinate warehousing, storage, and handling requirements.
• Support the broader business and Delivery teams by forecasting logistics requirements for operations, projects, or exercises.
• Maintain accurate records of shipments, receipts, and stock movements.
• Adhere to logistics procedures and standard operating practices.
• Ability to work primarily from Penrith HQ, with occasional work from HMAS Waterhen and deliveries/pick-ups across Sydney.
• Other duties as highlighted by your supervisor.

About you:

• An Australian Citizen (Due to security requirements) with an AGSVA clearance (NV1 Preferred).
• Australian Drivers Licence. A LR or MR Licence (preferred but nor mandatory).
• Minimum Certificate 3 in Logistics or relevant practical experience.
• Exposure to logistics systems such as SAP or other asset management software packages.
• Experience with Defence supply chain processes such as RSG (Returned Stores Goods), disposals, and codification will be highly regarded.
• Experience working with Defence stakeholders, including CASG Systems Program Offices (SPOs).
• Competent with MS office suite.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Clear, confident communication skills.
• Highly organised with attention to detail.
• Eager to learn, adaptable, and able to work well both independently and in a team.
