About the opportunity:

We are currently recruiting a Configuration Management professional for a permanent opportunity in Melbourne. You will provide Configuration Management solutions and advisory services supporting engineering change management integration and development activities within classified Defence systems.

Your duties and experience may include but not be limited to;

• Maintain and provide quality assurance of data records.
• Actively participate in Physical Control audits and Engineering Change meetings.
• Support the processing of Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs), Engineering Change Notices (ECNs), Engineering Change Requests (ECRs) and Request for Variance (RFV) within the Configuration Management toolset used by Engineering and Project management staff.
• Process, recorded, track, update and distribute data associated with Configuration baselines as per the Configuration Management Tool.
• Manage Export Control compliance and safeguarding Intellectual Property rights within Defence programs.
• Provide subject matter expert advice and effectively act as the Engineering Configuration Subject Matter Expert.
• Provided customer advice on the use of the CM processes, procedures, and tools.
• Adhere to Defence engineering processes and frameworks.
• Ensured security and integrity of all CoA data.
• Assist in the development and maintenance of Configuration Management Plans and other governance and compliance documentation.
• Participate in configuration management and Engineering workshops, including stakeholder engagements.
• Support configuration management processes for engineering systems, ensuring maintenance of accurate baselines.

About you:

• Australian citizen (required for Defence projects) with a min AGSVA NV1 clearance. The ability to obtain a Negative Vetting 2 (NV2) security clearance is preferred.
• Experience working in a Defence project setting, preferably in either complex ICT, Engineering or Technology integration environments.
• Relevant qualifications in Engineering or other technical disciplines highly regarded.
• Experience using management tools such as Objective, Active Work Centre, Jira, CMT-U.
• Knowledge of ASDEFCON (Advantageous).
• Australian Drivers License.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Clear, confident communication skills.
• Highly organised with attention to detail.
