C4I Solutions are seeking an experienced Learning Support Officer to support the delivery of the Joint Lessons Management Process (JLMP) within JOC Group.

The role offers an initial 12-month FTE contract opportunity, with the potential to extend for a further two years.

About the role :-

Headquarters Joint Operations Command (HQJOC) is the Australian Defence Force's operational level headquarters responsible for the command and control of ADF operations.

Commander Joint Operations (CJOPS) is required to maintain a focus on Warfighting, including capability gap identification and attainment of Theatre Campaign objectives. Whole of Australian Government and senior ADF Committees have relied upon, and increased their demands for, Joint Warfighting Lessons. Hence, the J8 branch within HQJOC seeks to increase capacity and quantity of Joint Lesson deliverables while documenting processes for business continuity rigor.

Role requirements :-

The learning Support Officer is required to support the delivery of the Joint Lessons Management Process (JLMP) within JOC Group.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the provision of Joint Lessons Support, including, but not limited to:

  1. Monitor Operational Reporting process, specifically Post Operational Reports and Observation Collection Tool, as sources of observations;
  2. Contribute to After Action Review processes with presentation preparation and secretariat duties;
  3. Develop lesson outcome documentation including templates and style guides and navigation of relevant document management system as required;
  4. Liaise with J8 branch data custodian and JOC IM staff to maintain efficient Lessons OBJECTIVE structures;
  5. Contribute to the staged analysis process throughout the whole J8 branch assessment workflow; and
  6. Be prepared to represent SO1 Joint Lessons, and to present JLMP outcomes as required.

Essential criteria :-

Skills and Expertise Required:

  • Prior experience in Defence essential.
  • Experience gained in HQJOC would be highly advantageous.
  • Manage own time effectively, take ownership and responsibility for tasks allocated, and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently, and also to effectively liaise directly with the JOC Lesson Network and stakeholders.
  • Ability to format JLMP material to be in line with audience specific language that is clear and concise for users to understand.

Please note: Due to the nature of this role, the successful candidate must hold a AGSVA Negative Vetting 2 Security Clearance (NV2), and be willing to obtain a Positive Vetting Clearance if required (PV).
