As a member of the communications team that serves as business partner for a regulated business, you will work cross-functionally to build, sustain and protect the Group’s reputation as one of the most reliable and cost-effective world-wide. You will also part of a team that guards reputation and proactively prepares for issues/crisis communications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop differentiated content and messaging strategies
- Engage internal and external stakeholders to sharpen perspectives and value messaging.
- Experienced in writing and producing press releases, articles and blogs, social content, videos, and infographics.
- Develop and implement a holistic strategy to shape public perception and build reputation and awareness as a world-class leader in network services and energy solutions across key channels including:
- Provide media counsel, pre-empting potential issues and proactively exploring potential media opportunities
- Engagement of mainstream, trade media and digital media
- Develop and increase thought leadership visibility on targeted topics across a creative mix of targeted platforms.
- Leverage owned channels including website and social to amplify key stories
- Manage issues and crisis communications and be a part of the emergency response team
- Support communications of community and social service contributions and partnerships
Requirements:
- Degree in communications, marketing or related field
- 8-10 years of experience in conceptualising and successfully executing strategic communication plans for companies with high-impact outcomes
- Experience in issues/crisis communications
- Demonstrates critical thinking
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment that requires multi-tasking
- Strong interpersonal skills and significant experience working with media and management teams
- Expert verbal and written communication skills with proven credentials and examples
- Strong knowledge and abilities to use multiple platforms and channels (including digital)
- Excellent project management skills, analytical and business acumen
