Responsibilities:

  • Provide full legal support to Group companies in both Singapore and overseas jurisdictions, in respect of a broad spectrum of matters, including but not limited to rendering legal advice and handling of agreements in respect of the following types of activities such as rooftop solar solutions, district cooling services and heating services, mergers & acquisitions and joint ventures, operation of electric vehicle charging networks, microgrids and relevant renewable areas
  • Collaborations to drive research, development and implementation of next-generation energy solutions and technologies; procurement contracts and tenders
  • Handle claims, investigations, disputes and related litigious matters
  • Handle general corporate and commercial matters such as loan agreements, lease agreements and employment matters
  • Establish and manage relationships with external legal firms
  • Oversight of legal risks across business divisions
  • Update on new laws and regulations and alerting impacted divisions/functions




Requirements:

  • Degree in Law from a recognised University and called to Singapore Bar
  • At least 8 years post-qualification experience in practice and/or in-house with at least 3 years in renewable legal matters
  • Possess excellent legal analytical skills, drafting and negotiation skills
  • Commercial minded, strong business acumen to understand business goals and strategy
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management and relationship building skills
  • Good initiative, able to drive projects and possess a strong sense of accountability
  • Experienced in the energy industry and/or advising on strategic and complex legal matters. Prior experience with renewable projects will be viewed favourably
  • Strong experience in negotiating, drafting and executing commercial contracts
  • Experience in corporate secretarial matters will be advantageous
  • Independent and able to lead with minimal supervision
  • Ability to work under pressure and tight timelines
