Our client is looking for a senior individual to head up the operations and assist with the growth and development of their Los Angeles logistics (3PL-4PL) business.

QUALIFICATION

Bachelors degree in Business, Logistics/Supply Chain or equivalent field, preferred

EXPERIENCE

· At least 10 years experience in 3PL 4PL environment.

· Hands-on operational experience would be preferable. They must have been through operations.

· Ability to build and grow a region, through new client acquisition.

· Client engagement and relationship management experience.

· Extensive operational experience in imports/exports - Air, Sea and Road.

Good understanding, knowledge, and operational exposure to Customs Clearances & Forwarding.

A good network and sound relationships with shipping lines, airlines, and truckers.

Experience in negotiating and securing favourable buying rates from all suppliers.

· Very strong leadership attributes with a proven leadership track record.

· Having worked on Cargowise (operating system) would be a huge advantage.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

· Generate new, profitable business within the Groups defined parameters

· Service existing clients customs and excise clearing and freight forwarding

· Analysis, formulation and implementation of supply chain logistics solutions

· Generate and present proposals to clients at Board level

· Prepare estimates (costing schedules) to clients

· Negotiate client and supplier rate increases annually

· Coordination, collaboration, communication and a strong ability to manage and lead

· Day to day management of the operational activities overseeing senior operational staff

· Overseeing the staffing aspects of the business and region

· Ensure the administrative elements of the region are adhered to

REMUNERATION

Dependant on experience, qualifications, and skills/capabilities market related with no cap.

· Fully paid-up shares or equity holding
