About the job Quality Assurance Lead
Our client is building a modern cross-border payments and financial infrastructure platform (exchange, clearing, messaging, digital currency) for banks and financial institutions. Were looking for a Senior QA / Test Automation Engineer (5+ years) to ensure the quality and reliability of our platform end-to-end.
Profile summary
* 5+ years of experience in QA / software testing, with a strong focus on test automation
* Solid experience designing and executing test strategies for complex, distributed back-end systems and web applications
* Strong hands-on experience with test automation frameworks and tools (e.g. Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, REST-assured, JUnit/TestNG)
* Experience testing RESTful APIs, microservices, and message-based integrations (Kafka, RabbitMQ, etc.)
* Good understanding of functional, regression, integration, performance, and security testing practices
* Hands-on with CI/CD integration for automated test suites (GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or similar)
* Comfortable working with Java (and ideally JavaScript/TypeScript) to build and maintain automation frameworks
* Strong skills in test case design, defect management, and clear documentation
* Leadership: ability to supervise and track progress of the QA / test automation team, plan and prioritize tasks, define test plans and coverage, review test assets, and mentor junior and mid-level QA engineers
* Experience working in Agile teams, collaborating closely with product managers, developers, and DevOps
* Bonus: experience in fintech/payments, cross-border transfers, ISO 20022/SWIFT flows, or high-availability, mission-critical systems
Languages and location
* Fluent English is a must (written and spoken)
* Location: strong preference for UAE, Dubai, with flexibility for remote candidates who are highly qualified
