The primary objective is to recruit a commercially active trader with an established customer network, capable of generating business opportunities and contributing to trading operations from the outset, rather than someone whose experience is primarily operational or administrative.

  • Execute physical trading transactions through tank-to-tank, ex-tank, FOB, CFR, and other trading structures.
  • Manage local distribution and develop a profitable physical trading portfolio.

2. Business Development & Deal Origination

  • Originate trading transactions and develop new business opportunities.
  • Leverage existing customer relationships to generate business.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with buyers, suppliers, traders, and counterparties.
  • Expand the trading network across the UAE, GCC, Indian Subcontinent, and East Africa.

3. Market Knowledge & Trading Operations

  • Maintain strong familiarity with Fujairah and Hamriyah trading activities.
  • Understand storage facilities, terminal operations, and import/export procedures.
  • Demonstrate sound knowledge of product specifications, logistics, and storage economics.
  • Identify and capitalize on arbitrage opportunities.

4. Commercial & Portfolio Management

  • Negotiate trading transactions and manage commercial relationships.
  • Develop and maintain a profitable physical trading portfolio.
  • Demonstrate a proven commercial track record in physical petroleum trading.
  • Generate business opportunities and contribute to trading operations from the outset.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in physical petroleum products trading within the UAE and GCC markets.
  • Strong familiarity with Fujairah and Hamriyah trading activities, storage facilities, terminal operations, and import/export procedures.
  • Established network of active buyers, suppliers, traders, and counterparties across the UAE, GCC, Indian Subcontinent, and East Africa.
  • Demonstrated ability to originate transactions, develop new business opportunities, and leverage existing customer relationships.
  • Practical experience in tank-to-tank, ex-tank, FOB, CFR, and other physical trading structures, including local distribution.
  • Sound understanding of product specifications, logistics, storage economics, and arbitrage opportunities.
  • Proven commercial track record in negotiating transactions, managing trading relationships, and developing a profitable physical trading portfolio.

Preferred Background

  • Candidates currently based in the UAE are strongly preferred.
  • Previous experience with established petroleum trading companies in Dubai, Fujairah, or Hamriyah is highly desirable.
  • Candidates of Indian, Pakistani, or any other nationality are welcome, provided they meet the required professional qualifications and possess relevant market experience.

Ideal Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate must be a commercially active physical oil products trader with an established customer network and the ability to independently generate trading opportunities and drive business growth.

Candidates with primarily operational or administrative experience, without hands-on physical trading and business origination capabilities, will not be suitable.
