Job Title - Project Manager

About the Role

You will oversee and manage construction and fabrication projects from initiation through to completion ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet quality, safety, and client expectations. You will coordinate between teams, subcontractors, suppliers, and clients; plan resources; monitor progress; and ensure smooth execution of structural and construction works in a fast-paced industrial environment.

Key Responsibilities

Project Planning & Execution

Define project scope, objectives, deliverables, and resource requirements for each project.

Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, milestones, resource allocation, and budgets.

Coordinate procurement of materials, equipment, subcontractor services, and manpower.

Budget & Cost Management

Estimate project costs and prepare budget proposals.

Monitor project expenditures and control costs throughout the project lifecycle.

Manage changes, variations, and cost adjustments to maintain profitability and financial discipline.

Scheduling & Resource Coordination

Create and maintain project schedules, ensuring work phases are properly sequenced and resourced.

Allocate manpower, materials, and equipment efficiently to meet project milestones.

Coordinate with site teams, contractors, and suppliers to ensure timely delivery and avoid delays.

Quality, Safety & Compliance Oversight

Ensure all work meets specified quality standards, engineering drawings, and technical requirements.

Enforce safety standards, regulations, and compliance protocols throughout the project.

Perform regular site inspections, monitor workmanship, and address issues proactively.

Stakeholder & Team Management

Serve as main point of contact for clients, engineers, subcontractors, and internal teams.

Manage subcontractors and suppliers, ensuring contractual obligations, timelines, and deliverables are met.

Lead and coordinate internal project teams, including field staff, supervisors, and support functions.

Progress Monitoring & Reporting

Track project progress against plan (milestones, budget, quality), and report status to senior management and stakeholders.

Identify risks, potential delays or issues, and implement corrective or preventive action plans.

Maintain project documentation: drawings, permits, contracts, change orders, subcontractor records, and reports.

Project Close-out & Handover

Manage final inspections, quality checks, and snag/ punch-list resolution.

Ensure completion of documentation, handover to client or operations, and closure of contracts.

Review project outcomes, conduct lessons-learned sessions, and document improvements for future projects.

Qualifications & Experience

Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Structural Engineering, or a related field.

510 years of experience managing construction, structural fabrication, or industrial building projects (steel/structural fabrication preferred).

Proven track record of delivering projects on time, within budget, and to quality and safety standards.

Strong knowledge of construction and fabrication methods, structural engineering principles, and industry regulations.

Experience coordinating with subcontractors, suppliers, engineers, and clients.

Excellent project management, planning, and organizational skills.

Strong financial acumen for budgeting and cost control.

Good communication, negotiation, and stakeholder-management abilities.

Ability to lead teams, motivate staff, and coordinate cross-functional workflows.

High attention to detail, quality focus, and commitment to safety standards.
