Position: Senior Driver

The driver is expected to working under the supervision of the Office Administrator of office to perform the duties and responsibilities of the office driver. He may act as Team leader (for a group of 3-5 junior drivers).

Minimum requirement:

  • Be at least 30 and not older than 60 years old
  • Minimum high school or equivalent vocational education
  • Valid professional driving license (up to mini-bus driving), knowledge of driving rules and regulations, skilled in minor vehicle repair.
  • Minimum five (5) years of experience as a full-time driver, dependable, reliable, conscientious and safe driver with foreign organizations or UN Agency
  • Remain not at fault for a road accident within the previous five (5) years
  • Cambodian national; proficiency in oral English
  • Excellent organizational, logical and customer service skills
  • Good team player with ability to interact tactfully and effectively with staff at all levels in multi-cultural environment.
  • Ability to work accurately and complete tasks according to specific instructions;
  • Strong familiarity of key government and private companies main offices.

Medical Requirements:

Must be medically fit for driving with acceptable vision as per statutory laws and have no permanent disability which can affect driving. Must be healthy and free from all communicable diseases, as proven by periodical medical exams, by a licensed local practitioner.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide efficient, courteous and safe transport services to Managers, office staffs and other visitors
  • Log each official trip, daily mileage, gas and oil consumption
  • Coordinate efficiently with passengers on itineraries and schedules for pick-up/drop-off, and meetings
  • Strictly comply with World Bank Groups Road Safety Policy while performing driving service including:

+ Must wear seatbelt while driving

+ Must require passengers to fasten seatbelts prior to commencing journey

+ Must obey speed limits and drive to conditions

+ Zero alcohol limit

+ Maximum daily driving hours limit of 12 hours

+ Cell phone use banned when driving (including hands-free use)

+ Report any road-related incidents (e.g., crashes, injuries, thefts, major traffic violations) or near-incidents to the Office Administrator

+ Responsible for the day to day security checking and maintenance of assigned vehicles particularly before entering into services including tires condition, spare tire, horn, lights, windshield, windows, mirrors, brakes, air-conditioning system, seatbelts, under hood (battery, power steering, hoses, belts, windshield washer, transmission fluid, brake fluid, oil level and fuel)

  • Provide messenger tasks and other office assistance in terms of visa applications; loading/unloading and movement of furniture, equipment, cargo and office supplies; administrative transactions with local vendors and other non-routine tasks when required for office staffs and other missions.
  • Attend yearly training on safe and defensive driving.
