Job Description:
Supervise Day-to- Day Maintenance Operations:
- Oversee daily maintenance and repair activities, ensuring efficient workflow and timely completion of tasks.
- Assign tasks to mechanics/technicians based on their skills and workload.
- Inspect completed work to ensure quality and adherence to standards.
- Troubleshoot complex mechanical issues and provide technical guidance to the team.
- Manage preventative maintenance schedules and ensure timely completion.
Team Leadership and Development:
- Lead, motivate, and mentor a team of mechanics/technicians.
- Conduct performance reviews, provide feedback, and identify training needs.
- Ensure a positive and productive work environment.
- Enforce company policies and procedures.
Maintenance Scheduling and Planning:
- Develop and manage maintenance schedules to minimize vehicle downtime.
- Prioritize work orders based on urgency and importance.
- Coordinate with other departments to schedule vehicle availability for maintenance.
Parts and Inventory Management:
- Oversee the ordering and receiving of parts and supplies.
- Maintain accurate inventory records.
- Ensure proper storage and handling of parts and materials.
Cost Control:
- Monitor maintenance costs and identify opportunities for cost savings.
- Ensure efficient use of resources and minimize waste.
- Track maintenance expenses and report on budget performance.
Safety and Compliance:
- Enforce safety regulations and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant environmental regulations and industry standards.
- Conduct regular safety inspections and address any safety concerns.
Record Keeping and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate maintenance records, including work orders, inspection reports, and vehicle history.
- Prepare and submit regular reports to the Fleet Maintenance Manager on maintenance activities, costs, and performance metrics.
