Floor Hosts at Canad Inns play a key role in guest experience and safety, with responsibilities that vary depending on the outlet in which they are assigned. Working under the direction of the General Manager, Outlet Manager, or Guest Services Manager, Floor Hosts are expected to provide prompt, courteous, and professional service as front-line representatives of the company. They help maintain a safe and welcoming environment for both guests and staff, and their attentiveness and tact during ID inspections are essential in outlets where age restrictions apply. Specifically, Floor Hosts working in Night Club Operations within our Event Centres are responsible for ensuring no underage guests are admitted. As part of a collaborative team, Floor Hosts contribute directly to the overall success of their outlet and Canad Inns by helping to create a fun, upbeat, safe and secure atmosphere.
As front-line representatives, Floor Hosts are expected to deliver prompt, courteous and professional service while helping to create a fun, upbeat and secure atmosphere. By maintaining a safe and welcoming environment for both guests and staff, Floor Hosts contribute directly to the success of their outlet and the overall Canad Inns experience.
Responsibilities:
- ID verification at entry of Night Club Operations within event centres where applicable
- Inspect each piece of ID according to Canad Inns policy;
- Ensure guests are of legal age in accordance with the legislation and licensing of the outlet
- Greet each guest politely;
- Ensure guests meet the Club or Outlet dress code;
- Where applicable ensure each guest walks through the metal detector and is inspected accordingly;
- Take names and contact information for witnesses, in the event of an incident or dispute.
- Other duties as assigned by management
Requirements:
- Can acquire Criminal Background Check and necessary certificates (i.e., Smart Choice certification, First Aid, CPR)
- Physically fit;
- Knowledge of all LGCA guidelines;
- Previous experience in a Club or Hotel setting is an asset
- Articulately communicates both verbally and in writing;
- Recognizes and resolves problems quickly and efficiently.
