Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Engineering Manager with food processing experience. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and managing engineering projects from conception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. The Project Engineering Manager will lead and execute large-scale, complex technical projects within the food industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage engineering projects from concept to completion, ensuring adherence to project timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
- Develop project plans, including scope, budget, and timeline, and regularly monitor and report on project progress.
- Identify and mitigate potential risks and issues that may impact project delivery.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design, manufacturing, and supply chain, to ensure alignment and timely delivery of project milestones.
- Manage and lead a team of engineers, providing guidance, support, and development opportunities.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the engineering team.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, standards, and company policies.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, suppliers, and internal teams.
- Communicate project updates and progress to senior management and other stakeholders as required.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management, preferably in an engineering or manufacturing environment.
- Proven track record of successfully managing and delivering complex engineering projects on time and within budget.
- Strong leadership skills and experience managing a team of engineers.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Knowledge of project management methodologies and tools.
- Familiarity with relevant regulations and standards.
- Ability to travel 50% as required.
