About the job Senior People Partner (Temp – Up to 6 Months)
A high‑growth SaaS organisation operating across ANZ is seeking an experienced People Partner to provide stability and leadership across core people operations during a period of transition. With a workforce of 100+ staff and a strong engineering and product culture, the business is scaling quickly and requires a capable, confident HR professional who can operate autonomously and keep BAU running smoothly.
This is a temporary role is ideal for someone who enjoys variety, independence, and partnering with smart, introverted, creative technical teams. Youll be the primary HR Contact on the ground in Sydney, working closely with the CEO, COO and global stakeholders.
What youll be doing
Core HR Operations
- Lead onboarding and offboarding processes (recruitment handled separately).
- Manage the performance review cycle (May–June) and salary review cycle (July) — already configured in the HRIS.
- Coordinate training and development requests, ensuring alignment with budgets and development plans.
- Support employee lifecycle activities across Australia and New Zealand.
Employee Relations & Leader Support
- Provide practical guidance on low‑volume ER matters (leader coaching, interpersonal issues).
- Act as the first point of contact for employees and managers.
- Liaise with an external migration agent on visa‑related queries.
Culture & Engagement
- Pick up and interpret results from the recent employee engagement survey
- Support a hybrid workforce with a high proportion of introverted, creative technical staff.
- Help maintain a positive, inclusive, high‑performance culture.
Systems & Tools
- Work confidently with intuitive HR systems (experience with BambooHR or similar is helpful but not essential).
- Partner with Payroll and Finance on cyclical processes (bonuses are automated).
What youll bring
- 7+ years experience in HR, ideally in a Senior People Partner / HRBP role.
- Experience working standalone and comfortable flexing between admin and more complex work.
- Strong knowledge of Australian employment legislation and HR best practice.
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and coaching skills.
- Tech‑savvy and adaptable — experience in technology or high‑growth environments is a bonus.
- Pragmatic and able to build trust quickly.
