About the Opportunity

A hands‑on, influential P&C Manager role in a growing, values‑driven organisation where you'll shape culture, coach leaders and strengthen people foundations.

This organisation is a well‑established, fast‑growing engineering consultancy of around 150 people, delivering projects across urban development, commercial, infrastructure and built‑environment sectors. They've grown steadily over more than a decade, including several acquisitions, and are known for being technically strong, operationally busy and culturally grounded.

It's a collaborative, low‑ego environment where people work hard, support each other and take pride in doing things well. With continued growth and multiple office locations, they're seeking a warm, pragmatic People & Culture Manager to lead the function and partner closely with senior leaders.

Key Responsibilities

P&C Lifecycle Events

  • Lead the full employee lifecycle, ensuring consistent, compliant and high‑quality processes
  • Oversee onboarding, probation, performance frameworks and employment changes
  • Strengthen documentation, systems and ways of working
  • Support leaders with practical, commercially minded advice

Employee Experience

  • Drive engagement and wellbeing initiatives
  • Support inclusion, culture and values programs
  • Build leadership capability and confidence
  • Contribute to safety, wellbeing and internal committees

Culture, Capability & Systems

  • Uplift Employment Hero and improve system utilisation
  • Support organisational growth and integration of new teams
  • Enhance cohesion across multiple offices
  • Explore opportunities to use digital tools and AI to improve efficiency

Recruitment & Onboarding

  • Lead senior and specialist recruitment
  • Oversee advisor‑led recruitment for junior roles
  • Strengthen recruitment frameworks and onboarding experience

What You'll Bring

  • Strong generalist HR experience in a busy, operational environment
  • Warm, approachable style with commercial judgement
  • Confidence coaching managers and navigating performance matters
  • Ability to interpret awards and provide clear guidance
  • Curiosity around L&D, engagement and culture-building
  • Experience with Employment Hero is highly regarded
  • Maturity, resilience and strong influencing skills

Work Environment & Flexibility

  • Hybrid: 3 days in office / 2 days WFH
  • Street parking available; close to Metro and local amenities
  • Primary base in North West Sydney, options to also work in Sydney CBD office and / or Wollongong (included in 3 office days)
