Senior Data Warehouse Developer

Position Purpose:

Seeking someone with a passion for defining and developing automated data solutions. As a Senior Data Warehouse Developer, you enjoy analysing source data architecture and delivering scalable data marts which enable internal/external clients to perform advanced analytics and derive insights. You are always seeking to build optimized and standardized code while preserving a documented single source of truth for our clients.

As a Senior Data Warehouse Developer, you will have a unique opportunity to help define the key data elements to add value to our clients though incredibly rich, varied, and global dataset. Working directly with international teams as varied as actuarial, business intelligence, and product, you will translate their unique requirements into data warehouse objects and external client data integrations. You will work closely with the business and technical teams in the development and standardization of our client data offering, providing estimates, defining agile delivery timelines, and ultimately developing the solution. Combining your skills in data architecture, building scalable data marts, and expertise in code optimization, you will be at the forefront of helping key stakeholders to articulate the value and impact that our client has in achieving their mission of improving peoples' health and protecting their lives.

Key Accountabilities:

Areas of responsibility may include but not limited to:

• Develop, deploy, and support MS SQL Server BI solutions utilizing T-SQL and Integration Services (SSIS)
• Establish and develop relationships with key stakeholders and end-users
• Coordinate with business unit leaders to understand requirements, define solutions and communicate delivery timelines
• Help define and maintain data mart standards across multiple international markets
• Develop solutions to help drive operational improvements and/ or cost savings
• Design, code, test, maintain and document programs to support and automate information and decision support.
• Develop scalable and configurable solutions to deliver external client data extracts
• Adhere to departmental standard development, testing, deployment, source control processes, and ticket tracking
• Contribute to the creation and maintenance of end-user documentation

Position Qualification Requirements:

• Bachelors Degree or equivalent education/experience (ideally in Management Information Systems, Computer Science, or Information Systems)

Experience:

Minimum

• 5+ years of Business Intelligence Development working with technical teams

Knowledge:

• Business Intelligence Development: Microsoft Integration Services
• Database: Microsoft T SQL, Postgres
• Excellent analytical, communication, and writing skills.
• Planning and organizational skills
• Agile Development experience on Scrum teams
• Skilled at developing dashboards and reporting solutions
• Extensive experience writing and optimizing stored procedures, packages and queries
• Ability to work well as a member of a team
