About the job Crewing Manager
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement the crewing strategy to achieve the most reliable, best-in-class and cost-effective crews
- Review crewing related contractual agreements of the ship management and identify the current and/or future crew manning needs to develop the annual manning plan for the efficient operation of all vessels
- Responsible for the daily crew operations in Ship Management in the relief/rotation planning and lay-off procedures of the seafarers, focusing on the provision of alternatives for the continuous and effective operation of the vessel
- Responsible for compliance with the requirements of the safe manning certificate, Flag state and other applicable legislation/agreements, monitoring and maintaining the agreed manning level once established and compliance with oil major requirements for experience matrix
- Review estimates of crew costs and monitor budgets for individual vessels and recommend measures to reduce costs
- Responsible for Collective Bargaining Agreement negotiations, establish terms and conditions of employment, compliance with Seafarer Employment Agreements, resolution of seafarers' complaints and disputes handling pertaining to seafarer employment
- Responsible for Performance Management and evaluation of all seafarers
- Participate in crew salary surveys and be responsible for the crew wage revisions, career development and retention
- Interact and maintain excellent relationships with all stakeholders such as clients, branch offices, manning offices and affiliated crewing agents
- Represent the organization in a number of regulatory bodies and industry associations and forums on crewing matters.
