We are looking for a seasoned Business Development Manager to be part of our client's team in Singapore. You'll be accountable for creating new business and preserving and expanding current customer relationships prospects, and promoting company's growing business portfolio's market penetration.

  • Establish and preserve enduring connections with current ship owners, ship managers, and maritime operators, as well as trade firms in Southeast Asia and Singapore.
  • Act as the main point of contact for important accounts, making sure that questions are answered promptly and smooth order fulfillment.
  • Track customer satisfaction, spot chances for upselling, and encourage repeat business for marine spare parts components and post-purchase services.
  • Work closely with regional teams (China, Europe) and company's headquarters to coordinate on cost, delivery dates, and technical assistance.
  • Find, target, and onboard new clients in the offshore and maritime business in Singapore.
  • Create and implement a local business growth plan in line with company's overarching growth goals.
  • To increase market presence, participate in client meetings, shipyard visits, and industry events as well as brand recognition.
  • Keep an eye on industry developments, competitive activity, and regulatory changes (especially with regard to emissions and environmental compliance) to find fresh commercial prospects.
  • Create market intelligence summaries, pipeline updates, and sales reports on a regular basis for management.
  • Collaborate with the operational and technical teams to guarantee customer satisfaction and efficient project delivery.
  • Oversee quotes, monitor outstanding orders, and guarantee correct CRM records.

Requirements:

  • At least three to five years of marine business development or sales experience offshore or maritime industry.
  • Familiarity with deck equipment, marine equipment, or environmental/regulatory compliance services is a strong advantage.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marine Engineering, Nautical Studies, Environmental Science, or a related field
