Electrical (Solar & Battery) Engineering Intern
Working within an Adelaide-based engineering consultancy delivering end-to-end solutions across renewable energy, electrical, and energy storage projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and deliver C&I solar PV and battery (BESS) systems
- Perform system sizing, energy modelling, and feasibility analysis
- Develop SLDs, layouts, and technical documentation
- Support projects across full lifecycle (design commissioning handover)
- Ensure compliance with Australian Standards and grid requirements
- Collaborate with clients, contractors, and project stakeholders
Skills & Expertise
- Solar PV system design and BESS integration
- Energy modelling tools (e.g., PVSyst, Helioscope, Homer)
- Strong understanding of electrical engineering & power systems
- Knowledge of AS/NZS standards and grid connection processes
- Technical documentation and drawing preparation
- Project coordination and stakeholder communication
