Electrical (Solar & Battery) Engineering Intern

Working within an Adelaide-based engineering consultancy delivering end-to-end solutions across renewable energy, electrical, and energy storage projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and deliver C&I solar PV and battery (BESS) systems
  • Perform system sizing, energy modelling, and feasibility analysis
  • Develop SLDs, layouts, and technical documentation
  • Support projects across full lifecycle (design commissioning handover)
  • Ensure compliance with Australian Standards and grid requirements
  • Collaborate with clients, contractors, and project stakeholders

Skills & Expertise

  • Solar PV system design and BESS integration
  • Energy modelling tools (e.g., PVSyst, Helioscope, Homer)
  • Strong understanding of electrical engineering & power systems
  • Knowledge of AS/NZS standards and grid connection processes
  • Technical documentation and drawing preparation
  • Project coordination and stakeholder communication
