Job Responsibilities
1) Quality Planning and Control
- Participate in product quality planning activities, including APQP and the development and revision of control plans.
- Monitor quality throughout the production process to identify and prevent potential issues.
- Review and assist in the development of product drawings, work instructions, and inspection standards.
2) Issue Resolution and Continuous Improvement
- Lead or support the resolution of quality issues arising from production, suppliers, or customer feedback.
- Apply problem-solving tools such as 8D, 5 Why, and Fishbone Diagrams to perform root cause analysis and implement corrective/preventive actions.
- Ensure timely closure of issues and verify the effectiveness of implemented improvements.
3) Inspection and Compliance
- Support incoming, in-process, and final inspections to ensure product compliance.
- Provide guidance to inspectors and assist in decisions regarding non-conformities when necessary.
4) Quality System and Audits
- Support the implementation and maintenance of ISO 9001 and other relevant quality management systems.
- Participate in internal, external, and customer audits to ensure system compliance.
5) Supplier Quality Management
- Assist in supplier audits, incoming material inspections, and performance evaluations.
- Track non-conforming materials, coordinate returns, and follow up on supplier corrective actions.
6) Customer Quality Support
- Handle customer complaints and quality issues to ensure satisfaction and maintain strong relationships.
- Prepare PPAP documents, quality reports, and provide support during customer audits.
7) Data Analysis and Reporting
- Collect, organize, and analyze quality data.
- Prepare monthly reports and trend analyses; propose improvement plans to reduce defect rates and enhance overall quality.
Job Requirements
- Bachelors degree or above in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, Quality Management, or related fields.
- Minimum 2 years of quality engineering experience in a manufacturing environment; experience in the transformer or electrical industry is highly preferred.
- Solid knowledge of ISO 9001 and industry standards (e.g., GB, IEC).
- Proficient in quality tools and methodologies such as 8D, FMEA, SPC, Minitab, and the seven QC tools.
- Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
- High level of responsibility and adaptability to a fast-paced production environment.
- Experience in power transformers, dry-type transformers, or similar electrical products is a plus.
- Background in customer or supplier quality management is an advantage.
- Certifications such as CQE (Certified Quality Engineer), Six Sigma Green Belt/Black Belt are preferred.
- Proficiency in both Chinese and English is required (spoken and written) to effectively coordinate with internal teams, suppliers, and international customers.
