Job Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoot issues, investigate problems, perform monitoring, and optimize performance
  • Support disaster recovery planning and security management
  • Propose and implement continuous optimizations in technical and process design
  • Provide consultation and support to customers on services under your responsibility
  • Ensure compliance with internal and external regulations, including audit and reporting requirements
  • Operate, maintain, and support infrastructure systems, including data maintenance, reporting, and authorization management
  • Enforce security standards to ensure stable and secure system operations
  • Participate in on-call and after-hours support as needed
  • Foster effective teamwork and proactive communication with stakeholders

Technical Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deploy RHEL application servers in production, following defined processes
  • Perform ongoing maintenance and updates for production systems
  • Deliver 2nd and 3rd level support for assigned IT systems
  • Analyze and resolve incidents and vulnerabilities
  • Implement changes and releases in the designated areas
  • Maintain system documentation, including updates to the asset database
  • Provide technical support for production operations
  • Execute health checks and remediate identified deficiencies
  • Develop scripts and batch jobs for process automation

Technology Focus Areas:

  • Strong Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) knowledge; RHCA-level expertise preferred
  • Experience with virtualization technologies, particularly VMware
  • Familiarity with RHEL on public cloud platforms (Azure, GCP, Google BMS)
  • Competency in scripting and automation tools (Python, Git, CI/CD, Ansible, SALT, Puppet)
  • Experience with middleware, system monitoring, security tools (e.g., MS Defender for Linux)
  • Basic administration of OpenShift environments
  • Experience with server migration and infrastructure transformation projects
  • Programming experience with vendor APIs (Red Hat Satellite, Azure, GCP, VMware)

Education & Experience:

  • Strong hands-on experience in application infrastructure and system operations
  • Deep understanding of IT infrastructure and operational architecture
  • Proficient in IT security principles and technologies
  • Solid knowledge of IT service management (ITSM) processes
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Self-motivated with a proactive and collaborative work style
  • Degree from a university or university of applied sciences in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related fieldor equivalent professional experience
  • 25 years of relevant experience in IT operations with demonstrated ownership of systems or complex processes
