Job Responsibilities:
- Monitor the performance and health of servers, applications, databases, and storage systems.
- Ensure system availability and stability through proactive monitoring and incident response.
- Detect, analyze, troubleshoot, and document IT faults in accordance with organizational standards.
- Utilize standard tools for managing incidents, problems, requests, and changes.
- Escalate unresolved or high-impact issues to the on-call team or Escalation Manager as per guidelines.
- Provide after-hours support when issues occur outside normal service windows.
- Follow all company policies and procedures related to server operations, security, and data privacy.
- Deliver technical support to end-users, resolving client-server related issues promptly.
Job Requirements:
- Diploma, Degree, or equivalent professional training in Computer Science or related field.
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and provide user support.
- Prior experience as a data center or systems operator.
- Hands-on experience with UNIX and Windows systems and command-line tools.
- Familiar with ServiceNow, Dynatrace, Tivoli, and UC4.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 suite including Outlook and Teams.
- Willingness to work in a 24/7 shift rotation schedule.
- Familiarity with basic understanding of UNIX infrastructure and operational workflows, experience in handling, interpreting and responding of UNIX related alarms through trouble ticket systems.
- Ability to interpret and respond to UNIX system alerts.
- Knowledge of essential Windows commands to assess server status.
- Ability to identify and troubleshoot different types of Windows error alerts.
- Proficient in using Windows OS for daily operations
- Experience handling Windows-related alarms and events via ticketing systems.
- Understanding of Windows infrastructure components.
