About the job Regional Finance Controller
Job Responsibilities
1. Daily Financial Operations
- Review original financial documents, prepare journal vouchers, and maintain ledgers to ensure accurate and complete accounting records.
- Regularly reconcile accounts with banks, suppliers, and customers; resolve outstanding balances and discrepancies.
2. Financial Reporting
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (e.g., Balance Sheet, Profit & Loss Statement, Cash Flow Statement) in a timely manner.
- Assist in generating financial analysis reports to support strategic decision-making by management.
3. Budgeting and Cost Control
- Support the preparation of the annual budget; monitor execution, analyze variances, and provide actionable improvement suggestions.
- Review expense reimbursement documents to ensure compliance and effective cost control.
4. Cash and Fund Management
- Monitor cash flow and prepare cash flow forecasts to optimize fund utilization.
- Manage bank accounts and internal fund transfers to ensure liquidity and the security of company funds.
5. Compliance and Audit Support
- Support internal and external audits by providing required financial data and implementing audit recommendations.
- Ensure all financial activities comply with applicable accounting standards, legal regulations, and internal company policies.
6. Tax Management
- Oversee tax planning and compliance, including timely submission of tax filings (e.g., corporate income tax, GST/SST, withholding tax).
- Stay up to date with changes in tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance and minimize tax risks.
- Liaise with tax authorities and external consultants as needed to resolve tax-related matters.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; MBA or CPA certification preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 8-10 years of finance experience, including at least 3 years in a leadership role. Regional or multi-site financial management experience is required.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics
- Advanced Excel skills: Experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau
- Industry Knowledge: Prior experience in the electrical industry is preferred.
