Job Position: Operations Manager

Our client is a thriving plumbing and HVAC wholesale corporation with a robust team and ambitious growth objectives. They offer a comprehensive corporate benefits package and profit sharing. They are currently seeking an Operations Manager who will work closely with the Profit Center Manager. This dynamic role involves managing warehouse operations, providing quotes, building customer relationships, and taking ownership of all departments in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise all branch operations, including warehouse, inventory, purchasing, quoting, and logistics
• Lead and support inside sales functions (more quoting and customer service than closing)
• Serve as the lead for quoting plumbing contractors, relieving the counter sales team of this responsibility
• Ensure timely purchasing, track inventory, and monitor low-stock items
• Manage customer walk-ins, phone calls, and daily relationship management
• Oversee shipping/receiving, returns, and vendor communications
• Pull orders when necessary—everyone in this organization is hands-on
• Generate and analyze reports to ensure efficient operations

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant experience (3+ years)
• 3+ years of experience in people management
• Experience in plumbing is a plus
• An outgoing and enthusiastic personality
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to identify improvements and take initiative
