About the job Shipping Associate
Perform duties to support the shipping of our product in conjunction with one other shipper. Primarily responsible for final inspection of our product, applying the correct labelling, packaging the product to ensure it travels safely, preparing shipping paperwork, and loading product onto various modes of transportation. Some woodworking/small tool skills are beneficial as we occasionally need to build specialized skids for our product. Phone and computer skills are an asset as the shipping department notifies customer directed carriers that outbound loads are ready for pickup.
Initially this role will be Tuesday-Friday 7a – 3:30p (with two 10 minute breaks and a 30 minute lunch), but will eventually move to M-F 8a-4:30p (with two 10 minute breaks and a 30 minute lunch).
Must be willing to operate a forklift and crane (training will be provided). Must be able to navigate assembly drawings to determine labelling requirements. Must have basic computer knowledge and skills. Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to navigate warehousing areas safely. Ability to work with others in a sometimes fast paced environment, quality minded, mechanical aptitude are also assets for this role.
