Job brief

The Presales Consultant will play a pivotal role in driving our sales efforts by providing expert guidance and support throughout the pre-sales process. This role requires the consultant to engage with prospective clients, understand their needs, and demonstrate the unique value proposition of our innovative software solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Solution Expertise: Develop a deep understanding of our SaaS software products, features, and capabilities, and effectively articulate their benefits to potential clients.
  • Client Engagement: Collaborate closely with the sales team to engage with prospective clients and participate in discovery meetings to gather requirements and understand pain points.
  • Needs Analysis (Pre-analysis): Conduct thorough needs analysis by asking insightful questions and actively listening to prospects, in order to align our solutions with their business objectives.
  • Product Demonstrations: Conduct engaging, and persuasive product demonstrations tailored to the specific needs and challenges of each prospect, showcasing how our software addresses their unique requirements.
  • Customized Presentations: Prepare and deliver compelling presentations that highlight the value proposition of our software, demonstrating its competitive advantages and ROI potential.
  • Techno-functional Knowledge: Possess a strong understanding of the technical aspects of our products as well as business processes of target industries and collaborate with our technical teams to address any client queries or concerns.
  • Solution Design: Collaborate with the product and development teams to craft customized solutions that meet client needs, often involving the creation of proof-of-concepts or mock-ups.
  • RFP/RFI Responses: Participate in the development and submission of high-quality responses to requests for proposals (RFPs) and requests for information (RFIs). This includes engaging with the product/delivery team to prepare compliance, effort estimates, project plans etc.
  • Competitive Analysis: Stay current with industry trends and competitors, providing insights to the sales team on market positioning and differentiation.
  • Relationship Building: Foster strong relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders at prospective client organizations, nurturing trust and credibility.
  • Sales Support: Provide comprehensive support to the sales team during negotiations, offering valuable insights and technical expertise to help close deals.
  • Lead qualification: Qualify leads registered by the sales team in order to optimize the investment of the organisation's resources into good quality leads.
  • Marketing / Sales collaterals: Create and maintain sophisticated collaterals such as; product overviews, white papers, presentations, brochures etc.

Requirements

  • Graduate (IT/Computer/Commerce will be preferred)
  • Prior experience in IT 2-4 years
  • Excellent written and oral communication, technical documentation skills
  • Good command of MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint etc.
  • Prior experience of ERP, CRM, and Industrial processes are desirable.
