We are seeking a vigilant and reliable Security Officer to join our team in Bogotá. The ideal candidate will play a key role in safeguarding our people, property, and assets by maintaining a safe and secure working environment. This position requires strong situational awareness, professionalism, and commitment to upholding security standards at all times.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct regular patrols to ensure the safety and security of personnel, property, and company assets.

• Manage and monitor access points, authorizing entry only to approved individuals.

• Oversee and operate security systems, including CCTV, alarms, and access control platforms.

• Identify, document, and report any suspicious activity, security breaches, or policy violations.

• Respond swiftly and appropriately to incidents such as intrusions, thefts, or emergencies.

• Conduct preliminary investigations, collect evidence, and prepare detailed incident reports.

• Collaborate with supervisors and local authorities to support corrective or preventive measures.

• Inspect and ensure all surveillance and alarm systems are fully operational, reporting technical issues promptly.

• Maintain accountability and care for assigned security equipment and tools.

• Prepare and submit daily and periodic security activity reports.

• Ensure compliance with internal security policies, company standards, and applicable regulations.

• Work collaboratively with colleagues to continuously improve security procedures and response protocols.

• Participate in regular training covering emergency response, customer service, and professional development.

• Handle sensitive or confidential information responsibly, maintaining strict data protection compliance.

Requirements

• Fluent or native English (C1 level) strong written and verbal communication skills required.

• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent (technical or vocational certification in security or law enforcement preferred).

• Certified Security Guard Training Course completed through an accredited institution.

• Valid security guard license or equivalent authorization per local regulations.

• Experience or certification in CCTV and electronic security systems preferred.

• Minimum 2 years of experience in security, surveillance, or a related field (corporate or institutional environments preferred).

• Strong knowledge of access control, monitoring systems, and emergency response procedures.

• Willingness to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

• Physically fit and able to perform patrols and respond to incidents efficiently.

• Must successfully pass background and reference checks.

• Proven record of reliability, professionalism, and ethical conduct.

• Excellent attention to detail, situational awareness, and problem-solving skills.

• Calm, composed, and effective under pressure.
