Temporary Accommodation Placement Officer
Job Description:
We are representing our client to recruit an experienced Accommodation Officer. They procure and manage private sector and council stock as temporary accommodation. Our client is looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic team member to join their Temporary Accommodation Placement Team, who provides a quality administration service to the team of temporary accommodation officers and the manager.
You will need to have experience in a variety of administration duties, be computer literate and willing to learn new I.T skills. A good working knowledge MS Excel is required.
The role is extremely varied; you will work with four other officers. You must be quick thinking, discreet and very flexible to meet our changing priorities and deadlines. You will also be required to carry out tenancy sign-ups for our Clients on a daily basis. In order to meet service requirements this will require you to stay late on occasion when required with little or no notice.
You must be able to demonstrate excellent customer service and show an ability to build good relationships with other departments, landlords and external organisations.
Duties will include general administration, creating and terminating tenancies, a high volume of phone calls.
This is an extremely busy department so be prepared to be busy and work under pressure.
Experience: At least 5 years in similar roles or in community housing
