RESPONSIBILITIES:
Concept to Design Development: Responsible for translating design concerts into detailed architectural drawings. They collaborate with senior designers to develop design solutions that align with the project's goals, functional requirements, and design intent.
Design Documentation: Prepare and review construction drawings, specifications, and other design documentation. They ensure accuracy, compliance with regulations, and coordination with other design disciplines.
Software Proficiency: Utilize ID modeling software and visualization tools to create digital models, renderings, and presentations. They present design ideas to team members, stakeholders and occasionally clients using visualizations to communicate concepts effectively. Have a basic understanding of architectural software tools, such as AutoCAD, Revit, Rhino, Sketch Up, Enscape, Photoshop, illustrator or other design and modeling software commonly used in the industry. Proficiency in these tools is essential.
Building Codes and Regulations: This Designer should have a good understanding of local building codes and regulations. They ensure that the design complies with these requirements and coordinate with team members to provide drawings for necessary approvals and permits.
Material and Product Research: Conduct research on materials, finishes, and building products to select appropriate options that meet design and performance requirements. They assess their sustainability, durability, and aesthetic qualities.
Construction Administration: Level 2 Designers may be involved in construction administration tasks. They collaborate with contractors, review show drawings, respond to requests for information (RFIs}, and make site visits to ensure that the design is implemented correctly.
