About you

Lead, System Engineering will be designing, developing, maintaining, supporting and optimising key functional areas which includes server & network infrastructure, cloud services, application and end user computing centralised management

Your Day-to-Day

  • Design a high quality, high availability infrastructure, manage and maintain the corporate technology architecture, processes and procedures to support the business needs of the company including the server & application backup, restore, disaster recovery policies plan and practice
  • Ensure all designs meet the 5 pillars of architectural design:(Operational Excellence, Security, Reliability, Performance Efficiency, Cost Optimisation)
  • Collaborate with SecOps and ensure effective implementation of high-level security solutions, in compliance with Company Security Policy
  • Deliver improvements to the IT infrastructure, using the ITIL, AGILE methodology, where fits
  • Maintain server and end user computing life cycle asset management
  • Manage all communications around upgrades, new technologies and new processes that impact the customer or team member experience
  • Exceptional planning and organisational skills with the ability to effectively communicate with various business functions
  • Handle stakeholders/customers queries with good presentation skill
  • Manage and execute a maintenance schedule for upgrading software, applying fix packs and patches
  • Reporting including progress, monthly reports, support incident reports on a monthly basis in an agreed format

Your Know-How

  • Excellent management knowledge of current protocols and standards including Windows Server & related including AD, Radius, GPO, DNS, DHCP, Virtualisation (ESX/VMware), AWS, Azure Cloud, SAN, Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery
  • Experience in developing policies and processes; and possesses skills in the management of service or architecture processes
  • Good to have: Management knowledge of Microsoft 365, OKTA, ManageEngine
  • Demonstrated ability to engage with business leaders, all levels of team members, vendors, customers – understanding their needs from the business perspective and being able to translate those into actionable projects within IT
  • A superior customer service attitude, including the ability to work with users of all skill levels and organisational levels
  • Excellent communication, analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • The ability to comprehend and apply new concepts quickly and effectively.
  • A positive work attitude and a drive to succeed.
