About you

The Information Management Lead is a technical & hands on role that will lead, develop, implement and continually review and refine the organisation’s information governance, including its information management strategy, policy and processes to promote good practice and maintain compliance with statutory obligations for Carsome in Malaysia (Headquarters) including its regional offices in Singapore, Thailand, Indonesia, and China. They ensure best practice is implemented within the organisation with regards to the acquisition, management and organisation of information.

Your Day-to-Day

  • Develop the department’s Information Management strategy & roadmaps

  • Keep abreast of legislative changes which may impact the department and amend information management practices as required

  • Develop appropriate retention and disposal schedules for electronic content

  • Provide advice on information management issues and promote best information management practice

  • Ensure information management processes are kept up to date and reviewed regularly to ensure they are fit for purpose under latest guidelines

  • Collaborate with teams and networks across the department to understand stakeholder concerns, build consensus and help deliver direction messaging

  • Conduct information audits to ensure assets are safeguarded and the appropriate controls applied

  • Support the procurement of information technology systems and applications

  • Develops, implements and maintains data models and protocols in consultation with data owners and departmental managers in order to ensure quality control and consistency in information management in the organization

  • Advise on information risk

  • Build & enforce information management procedures

  • Educate stakeholders on information management procedures

  • Continuous engagement with stakeholders on information matters

  • Review all electronic resources and lead information labelling across the organization.

Your Know-How

  • Strong oral and written communication skills.

  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.

  • In-depth knowledge on Information Management requirements.

  • Ability to document, plan, market, lead and execute programs to completion.

  • PowerPoint Presentation, Document and Spreadsheet (e.g: Excel, Word) Skills

What sets you apart

  • 3 years of proven hands on experience in leading information management initiatives.

  • Any security certification will be advantageous
