Chief Accountant

Responsibilities:

Accounting Operations:

• Maintain full sets of accounts for assigned entities.

• Prepare accounting schedules and reconciliations as part of month-end close processes.
• Manage timely and accurate month-end and year-end closings, including journal entries and financial statements.
• Oversee payment processing, billing, and cash flow management.

Tax & Compliance:

• Handle VAT, CIT, and other statutory filings.

• Ensure compliance with group policies, processes, and Vietnam local regulations.

• Liaise with auditors, tax agents, company secretaries, and bankers.

System Management:

• Act as master data and system control specialist for accounting software.

• Identify and execute process improvement initiatives.

Reporting:

• Prepare monthly financial statements and management reports.

• Perform other tasks as assigned by your superior.

Requirements:

• Education: Degree in Accounting/Finance; CPA, ACCA, or CA preferred.
• Experience: 6-8 years in accounting/finance with 3-5 years from big 4 accounting firm as an auditor; prior full-set accounting and management reporting experience required.
• Proficient in Excel (e.g., VBA, Pivot Tables) and ERP systems (e.g., Navision).
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and management skills.
• High attention to detail, accuracy, and the ability to work independently under tight deadlines.
• Proficiency in English and strong interpersonal communication.
