The Sales Engineer is responsible for providing technical expertise and support to the sales team and customers. This role involves understanding and effectively communicating the benefits of technology solutions to potential clients. The Sales Engineer works closely with the sales team to identify and customize appropriate solutions and facilitate successful product demonstrations and trials.

Key Responsibilities:

Technical Expertise:

  • Possess in-depth knowledge of databases, operating systems, programming languages, and development tools.
  • Stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in technology.
  • Ability to understand and analyse customer requirements and propose suitable solutions.

Sales Support:

  • Collaborate with the sales team to understand customer needs and provide technical guidance throughout the sales process.
  • Assist in the development of sales strategies and presentations tailored to showcase the benefits of solutions.
  • Conduct product demonstrations and proof-of-concepts to showcase the functionality and value of products.

Customer Engagement:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, understanding their business challenges and requirements.
  • Act as a technical advisor to customers, providing recommendations and guidance on implementing solutions to address their needs.
  • Address technical inquiries and concerns from customers, ensuring timely and effective resolution.

Product Feedback:

  • Gather feedback from customers regarding product features, performance, and usability.
  • Communicate customer requirements and feedback to the product development team to drive product enhancements and improvements.
  • Training and Documentation:
  • Develop technical documentation, presentations, and training materials to educate both internal teams and customers about products and solutions.
  • Conduct training sessions for internal teams and customers to ensure a thorough understanding of technologies.

You have


  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • Proven experience in a technical sales or sales engineering role, preferably in the technology industry.
  • Strong understanding of technologies and their applications in various domains.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively convey technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Experience with customer engagement and relationship management.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Relevant certifications in technologies (e.g., Linux Foundation Certified Engineer) are a plus.
