Description:
Provide internal audit service delivery at store / divisional level with primary focus placed on providing assurance to management regarding compliance to policies, procedures, and guidelines
Requirement:
- NQF level 6 (six) Internal Audit diploma and 4 (four) years internal audit work related experience
- Knowledge of IIA standards
- General working knowledge of key processes that are critical to the business such as accounting, finance, procurement, and inventory
- Ability and willingness to travel extensively
- CIA qualification and prior experience in the retail industry will be beneficial
- Knowledge and experience with the use of internal audit software (BarnOwl skills and experience will be beneficial)
Key Performance Area:
Compliance reviews
Perform the following types of audits at store level which comprises of detailed testing of adherence to company policies and procedures.
Compliance audits
Roaming audits
Store opening audits
Store closure audits
Follow-up reviews
Perform follow-up review audits to determine the extent of corrective action.
Technical / professional / special projects (as and when required)
Improvement of audit programs
Creation of new audit programs for new focus areas
Review of company policies and procedures
Participation in special investigations and or ad hoc assignments (as and when required)
Forensic / tip-off / management request
Investigation of high risk areas identified through CAATs
Stock take reviews
Provide Direction
Develops operational plans to enable the achievement of set objectives
Ensures adherence to policies and procedures within area of responsibility
