Our Client
Our client is an internationally recognized global professional services firm, specializing in tax, audit and consulting services. They provide strategic guidance to multinational organizations, helping them navigate complex tax regulations and optimize international operations.
The positions comp is 20-30% above market is designed for a highly technical Director who has spent several years operating at senior level within a Big 4, Big 6, or Top 10 firm, and who may now be facing limited progression in their current organisation. The firm is seeking one Director with strong U.S. tax financial services - asset and wealth management compliance credentials, the ability to manage significant client relationships, and the appetite to take on increased responsibility with a clear pathway toward Partner.
The successful candidate will assume a substantial technical workload currently handled at Partner level, while also contributing to business development, client growth, and the ongoing strength of the Cayman tax practice.

Responsibilities
Take primary responsibility for complex U.S. tax compliance engagements within the asset management space, including funds and partnership structures.
Review and manage high-volume, technically complex U.S. tax filings and investor reporting.
Assume ownership of a significant portion of Partner-level technical workload
Act as a trusted technical advisor to key clients, maintaining and strengthening long-term relationships.
Identify opportunities to grow existing accounts and support new business development initiatives.
Manage tax risk and ensure compliance with evolving U.S. and cross-border regulations.
Mentor and develop managers and senior staff, building technical depth across the team.
Collaborate closely with Partners on strategy, client coverage, and succession planning.
Ideal Experience & Background
CPA, EA, or LLM in Taxation
8–12+ years of U.S. tax experience within public accounting
Strong, hands-on background in U.S. tax compliance, particularly for partnerships, funds, and asset management structures
Prior experience in a Big 4, Big 6, or Top 10 firm strongly preferred.
Proven ability to manage senior client relationships and contribute to winning and growing work.
Deep technical knowledge of cross-border tax rules, including FATCA, PFIC, and CFC
Comfortable operating at a senior level with significant autonomy and accountability
Ambitious and commercially minded, with clear interest in progressing to Partner.
Willingness to relocate to the Cayman Islands (relocation assistance and work permit sponsorship provided)
