Job Purpose*

The primary objective of this position is to improve operational efficiency and productivity successfully through applying industry-leading lean /six sigma tools. This position is also responsible for winning and retaining customers by offering industry-leading solutions design to improve customers supply chain operations, as well as designing and analyzing operational solutions for customer tender proposals, assigned projects, and existing supply chain operations.

Roles & Responsibilities*

Data and Statistical Analysis

  • Regular interaction with Country Operations Management and Customers for the purpose of gathering, validating and documenting operational requirements.
  • Conducts systematic in-depth research and analysis into issues of varying complexity.
  • Initiates, defines and leads the development and communication of effective reports to key stakeholders, including executive/senior management.
  • Facilitate development of new analytics solutions to address existing gaps in analytics tools
  • Estimates costs and identify business savings.
  • Provides reports, presentations and relevant information to senior management as required.
  • Ensures the effective development and use of information or record management systems or reporting practices.

Process Improvement and Change Management

  • Ensures team awareness of current processes and procedures, and relevant Company and regulatory requirements, which may impact the operation or department. Takes steps to ensure any changes are implemented.
  • Ensures completion of audit and reviews of existing processes or documentation to ensure appropriate standards and rules are applied.
  • Manage the identification and facilitate the implementation of process improvement initiatives to ensure minimal disruption of business operations during transition period
  • Facilitate development of specific risk mitigation strategies for critical business operations
  • Identify issues, risks and benefits of existing and proposed solutions and outline business impacts
  • Works collaboratively with operations teams to formulate solutions to operations issues and challenges
  • Simplify information and decipher technical jargon so it is easily understood by the whole team.

Solutioning Engineering

  • Develop and execute logistics improvement projects to support revenue and profitability growth strategy
  • Participate and maintain efficiency in the expansion and/or enhancement of logistics services
  • Develop products and tools to support country growth strategies
  • Plan, develop and implement Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) as measurement tools to achieve customer intensity goals and objectives
  • Support the assigned project team by coaching and providing guidance to team members
  • Drive innovation ideas, introduce and implement new concepts and technology on existing best practices
  • Provide internal and external status reports on time
  • Develop and establish customer intelligence database for sales, marketing as well as operations to drive country growth plan through intelligence and analytic approach
  • Take lead in customer tender proposal
  • Present operation solutions to the customer as a key part of the tender process
  • Manage partnerships with key vendors to optimize costing and lead time
  • Ensure on-time implementation of the assigned projects
  • Manage scope, budget, changes, progress, and risk of the assigned projects
  • Support South East Asia sales and marketing activities and assure alignment with country strategies

Qualification*

  • Bachelor's degree or above in Operations Research, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical and Production Engineering, Supply Chain and Logistics Management, Logistics or related field
  • More than 4 years of work experience operations analysis, planning and engineering and/or related consulting work ideally in the logistics, transportation or supply chain industry.

Requirements*

  • At least 5 years of working experience in a similar role in the logistics industry, with a focus in operation analysis, planning, warehouse and transport management solutions design
  • Excellent project management skills
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Proven ability to understand and analyse problems and find solutions
  • Good analytical and communication skills
  • Good command of spoken and written English
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Project Management, PowerPoint, Visio is a plus
  • Able to work under pressure / tight deadline as a team, self-motivated, and be able to work independently
  • Use of engineering tools Autocad, CAPS, llama soft Supply Chain Guru
  • Experience and knowledge in sketch up drawing is preferred
  • Good teamwork and technical leadership, creativity, and resourcefulness
  • Effective stakeholder engagement, including but not limited to ability to present findings and recommendations to senior leaders and to manage stakeholder meetings.
