What you can expect in your new job

• Work on a variety of customer projects, implementing modern data engineering solutions with a focus on Microsoft Fabric.
• Design and build end-to-end Fabric-based data platforms, including:
  • Lakehouses
  • Warehouses
  • Notebooks
  • Data Pipelines
  • Medallion Architecture (Bronze / Silver / Gold)
• Own data modeling for the Gold layer, translating business and reporting requirements into well-structured dimensional models, including:
  • Star schemas
  • Fact and dimension design
  • Analytics-ready reporting models
• Develop reliable ingestion and transformation pipelines using modern engineering patterns such as:
  • Incremental loading
  • Change Data Capture (CDC)
  • Schema governance
  • Metadata-driven frameworks
• Set up and maintain CI/CD processes for Microsoft Fabric, including:
  • Deployment automation
  • Environment promotion
  • Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
  • Workspace and permission provisioning
• Deliver projects using modern data and AI technologies, including:
  • Microsoft Fabric
  • Databricks
  • Azure Services
  • Current machine learning frameworks
• Collaborate with companies of various sizes across the DACH region and gain broad cross-industry experience.

What we want from you

• Passion for modern data engineering and AI.
• Strong experience in data modeling, particularly dimensional modeling and star-schema design.
• Ability to design a Gold layer that is practical and highly usable for reporting and analytics.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric or comparable platforms such as:
  • Databricks
  • Azure Synapse
  • Apache Spark
• Strong skills in PySpark and SQL for developing and troubleshooting data pipelines.
• Experience with, or strong interest in, CI/CD and DevOps practices for data platforms, including:
  • Azure DevOps
  • Git
  • Deployment automation
• Experience with Azure, AWS, or GCP is desirable.
• Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, Bicep, or similar solutions is a plus.
• German and English language proficiency at C1 level or higher.
