Position: Mid-Level/Senior Commercial Litigator

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Mid-Level/Senior Commercial Litigator to join our growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for handling a diverse portfolio of complex commercial litigation matters, representing clients in state and federal courts, as well as in alternative dispute resolution proceedings. You will work closely with our team of experienced attorneys to provide top-quality legal services to our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

- Manage a caseload of commercial litigation matters, including contract disputes, business torts, and other complex commercial disputes

- Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, and other legal documents

- Prepare for and attend hearings, trials, and other court proceedings

- Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and other parties involved in the litigation process

- Collaborate with other attorneys and staff to develop legal strategies and provide comprehensive legal advice to clients

- Keep abreast of developments in commercial litigation laws and regulations

- Mentor and supervise junior attorneys and paralegals in the litigation department

Qualifications:

- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school

- Active license to practice law in the state of Massachusetts

- 5+ years of experience in commercial litigation, preferably in a law firm setting

- Strong knowledge of state and federal court procedures and rules

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

- Ability to manage a high-volume caseload and meet deadlines

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

- Proven track record of successful outcomes in commercial litigation cases

- Experience in alternative dispute resolution, including mediation and arbitration, is a plus
