Technical Project Manager – SAP S/4HANA Upgrade (GxP, Pharma)

Location: Onsite in Cambridge & Norwood, MA
Start Date: May/June (ASAP if available)
Duration: 6 months (initial term, renewable)
Rate: $100–$120/hour (C2C or 1099)

About the Role

Our client, a global pharmaceutical company, is preparing to launch its SAP S/4HANA upgrade (from version 2022 to 2025) in Q2 2026. This is a 5–6 month contract focused on delivery execution in a GxP-regulated environment.

The Technical Project Manager (TPM) will lead all project activities. SAP will perform the technical upgrade (RISE), while the internal teams manage fixes, testing, and validation. The TPM will oversee governance, cross-functional coordination, and communication across business and technical stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end project coordination for the SAP S/4HANA upgrade

• Define and enforce governance structures and timelines

• Collaborate across CSV, QA, Finance, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain teams

• Lead project status meetings and executive communications

• Ensure timely delivery of testing and non-regression milestones

Required Experience

• Prior leadership of an SAP S/4HANA upgrade project

• Strong expertise in GxP-regulated environments (required)

• Hands-on experience with Computer Systems Validation (CSV)

• Proficiency with JIRA and Agile project delivery

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
