French-speaking Customer Service Representative (Level I) – Banking & Insurance

Job Summary

Are you a fluent French speaker with a knack for helping people and an eye for spotting opportunities? An established team in the breathtaking, historic city of Guimarães, Portugal, is expanding!

This is a vibrant, on-site role within an inbound banking and insurance project. Instead of just answering basic support tickets, team members act as trusted advisors—guiding customers through their inquiries while dynamically recommending financial products and services tailored to their life goals. Full, paid training is provided from day one to ensure complete readiness to succeed.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the welcoming first point of contact for French-speaking customers on an inbound queue.
• Listen actively to resolve inquiries, answer banking and insurance questions, and deliver top-tier support.
• Connect the dots during conversations to introduce and recommend relevant products and services that match customer needs.
• Collaborate with a supportive local team to maintain excellent service standards and hit commercial milestones.

Requirements

• Language: Native or near-native (C2) proficiency in French (both written and spoken).
• Superpower: Excellent active listening skills paired with a confident, clear, and empathetic phone presence.
• Mindset: A strong customer-first approach combined with a genuine interest or aptitude for sales and consultation.
• Logistics: Ready and available to work on-site in Guimarães, covering 40 hours per week across a Monday-to-Saturday schedule (shifts between 07:30 and 18:00, with Sunday fixed off plus one rotating weekday).
• Legality: Possession of all necessary, valid documents required to live and work legally in Portugal immediately (NIF, NISS, or valid EU residency/work permit).
