About the Role
We are seeking a strategic and hands-on Head of ERP (Odoo) to lead the design, delivery, and evolution of our enterprise systems landscape. This is a high-impact leadership role with full ownership of ERP strategy, execution, and operations across a fast-growing luxury retail group operating at scale across the GCC.
You will play a critical role in driving digital transformation across omnichannel retail operations, ensuring that our ERP ecosystem supports high-volume POS environments, eCommerce growth, and multi-entity business structures.
Key Responsibilities
ERP Strategy & Transformation
- Define and execute the enterprise ERP strategy with Odoo as the core platform
- Lead transformation initiatives across Finance, POS, Inventory, Purchasing, and Warehouse operations
- Ensure scalability, performance, and resilience for high-volume retail and omnichannel environments
- Own system architecture, integrations, and data flow across multiple legal entities and geographies
- Continuously align ERP capabilities with evolving business needs and growth plans
Execution & Delivery Excellence
- Lead end-to-end Odoo delivery including implementations, upgrades, and system integrations
- Drive Agile/Scrum delivery frameworks with clear milestones and predictable outcomes
- Oversee data migration, UAT cycles, and successful go-live execution
- Optimize delivery processes, tools, and methodologies for efficiency and quality
- Manage external vendors and implementation partners, ensuring accountability and excellence
Business Partnership
- Collaborate closely with Finance, Retail, Supply Chain, and eCommerce leadership teams
- Translate complex business requirements into scalable and sustainable Odoo solutions
- Prioritize initiatives based on business value, operational impact, and strategic goals
- Act as a trusted advisor bridging business stakeholders and technical teams
Leadership & Team Development
- Build, lead, and scale a high-performing ERP team across functional and technical domains
- Drive hiring, talent development, and succession planning
- Establish clear ownership, accountability, and delivery standards
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement, collaboration, and innovation
Technology & Operations
- Ensure stability and performance of Odoo in high-load POS and retail environments
- Oversee production support and ensure timely resolution of business-critical issues
- Govern system integrations with internal platforms and third-party solutions
- Maintain oversight of cloud environments, deployment strategies, and system reliability
- Establish governance frameworks for access control, customization, releases, and documentation
Candidate Profile
Experience & Expertise
- 6+ years of experience in ERP leadership roles with proven team management
- Strong hands-on expertise in Odoo ERP (version 16+ is essential)
- Deep functional knowledge in Accounting, Purchasing, Inventory, and Warehouse modules
- Experience in retail environments with heavy POS and omnichannel operations
- Strong track record in ERP project delivery, timelines, and Agile methodologies
Technical & Functional Skills
- Ability to gather, structure, and prioritize business requirements effectively
- Solid understanding of ERP architecture, integrations, and data flows
- Experience with cloud infrastructure and ERP deployment models
- Technical background in Python, PostgreSQL, and system integrations is a strong advantage
- Exposure to other ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) is a plus
