About the Role

We are hiring on behalf of one of the Big 5 companies in Saudi Arabia, seeking an experienced Senior Cloud Architect to lead the design and execution of enterprise cloud strategy within a large-scale digital transformation program.

This is a high-impact leadership role where you will collaborate closely with senior business and technology stakeholders to drive cloud adoption across mission-critical systems. You will serve as the technical authority for cloud architecture, enabling innovation, scalability, and secure cloud practices across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

Cloud Strategy & Architecture

• Define and drive enterprise cloud strategy across AWS, Azure, and/or GCP
• Design secure, scalable, and highly available cloud architectures
• Lead the adoption of cloud-native technologies and modern engineering practices
• Establish architectural blueprints aligned with long-term business objectives

Solution Design & Delivery

• Architect end-to-end solutions across multi-cloud and hybrid environments
• Design distributed, multi-tier applications at enterprise scale
• Ensure high performance, resilience, and cost optimization
• Guide engineering teams on architecture implementation and best practices

Governance & Security

• Establish cloud governance frameworks, standards, and best practices
• Ensure compliance with enterprise security policies and regulatory requirements
• Act as the technical authority for all cloud-related initiatives
• Implement robust security, identity, and access management controls

Stakeholder Engagement

• Engage with senior business and technology stakeholders
• Translate business requirements into scalable cloud solutions
• Provide technical leadership to engineering, DevOps, and platform teams
• Influence decision-making at both strategic and operational levels

Candidate Profile

Required Experience

• Proven experience as a Cloud Architect in large enterprise environments
• Strong expertise in at least one major cloud platform (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
• Experience designing multi-cloud and hybrid cloud architectures
• Deep understanding of distributed systems, microservices, and cloud-native design patterns
• Strong knowledge of cloud security, networking, and governance frameworks
• Background in software engineering, system design, or infrastructure architecture
• Ability to work in a hybrid model based in Riyadh

Preferred Qualifications

• Arabic language skills (preferred for stakeholder engagement)
• Cloud certifications (AWS, Azure, or GCP – Architect level)
• Experience with DevOps tools and practices (CI/CD, Terraform, Kubernetes)
• Experience working within large enterprises or government environments
