About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Cloud Architect to lead the design and execution of enterprise cloud strategy for a large-scale digital transformation program in Riyadh.
This is a high-impact role where you will work closely with senior business and technology stakeholders to shape cloud adoption across mission-critical systems. You will act as the technical authority for cloud architecture, driving innovation, scalability, and secure cloud practices across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
Cloud Strategy & Architecture
- Define and drive enterprise cloud strategy across AWS, Azure, and/or GCP
- Design secure, scalable, and highly available cloud architectures
- Lead adoption of cloud-native technologies and modern engineering practices
- Establish architectural blueprints aligned with long-term business goals
Solution Design & Delivery
- Architect end-to-end solutions across multi-cloud and hybrid environments
- Design distributed, multi-tier applications at enterprise scale
- Ensure high performance, resilience, and cost optimization
- Guide engineering teams through architecture implementation and best practices
Governance & Security
- Establish cloud governance frameworks, standards, and best practices
- Ensure compliance with enterprise security policies and regulatory requirements
- Act as the technical authority for all cloud-related initiatives
- Implement robust security, identity, and access management controls
Stakeholder Engagement
- Engage with senior business and technology stakeholders
- Translate business requirements into scalable cloud solutions
- Provide technical leadership to engineering, DevOps, and platform teams
- Influence decision-making at both strategic and operational levels
Candidate Profile
Required Experience
- Proven experience as a Cloud Architect in large enterprise environments
- Strong expertise in at least one major cloud platform (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
- Experience designing multi-cloud and hybrid cloud architectures
- Deep understanding of distributed systems, microservices, and cloud-native design patterns
- Strong knowledge of cloud security, networking, and governance frameworks
- Background in software engineering, system design, or infrastructure architecture
- Ability to work on-site in Riyadh full-time
Preferred Qualifications
- Arabic language skills (strongly preferred for stakeholder engagement)
- Cloud certifications (AWS, Azure, or GCP – Architect level)
- Experience with DevOps practices and tools (CI/CD, Terraform, Kubernetes)
- Experience working within large enterprises or government environments
