About the Role:
Join our team as a German VCA Safety Checklist Contractor in Oeiras, Portugal, and take on an essential role in ensuring the safety and well-being of all employees and contractors on site. As a certified VCA professional, you’ll be at the forefront of risk management, conducting safety audits, implementing best practices, and maintaining a culture of safety within our projects. Your contributions will directly impact the success of our projects while ensuring compliance with industry standards and keeping workers safe.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead VCA safety inspections to evaluate site conditions and assess risk factors, ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
  • Identify hazards in the workplace and implement strategies to reduce or eliminate risks.
  • Provide guidance and support to contractors and workers, ensuring safe work practices are followed.
  • Develop and deliver training on VCA safety protocols, ensuring all team members understand safety guidelines and procedures.
  • Review and enforce safety policies, ensuring all site activities are performed according to safety standards.
  • Create detailed reports and documentation for safety audits, hazard assessments, and incident investigations.
  • Support the implementation of emergency procedures, ensuring quick and effective responses during incidents.
  • Collaborate with team leaders, managers, and contractors to promote and maintain a safety-first culture on-site.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Fluent in German (C2 level), with strong communication skills in both written and spoken German.
  • VCA certification (or equivalent safety certification) is mandatory.
  • Proven experience in safety management or safety inspections within construction or industrial environments.
  • In-depth knowledge of health and safety regulations, risk assessment methods, and safety compliance.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities with a hands-on approach to resolving safety issues.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Ability to engage with workers and contractors, ensuring a positive and safe work environment.
  • Familiarity with emergency response protocols and safety equipment.
