About the Role:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and linguistically skilled German Content Review Specialist to join our team in Barcelona. In this role, you will review, evaluate, and moderate user-generated content to ensure it meets community guidelines, legal standards, and platform policies. This position is crucial in maintaining a safe, respectful, and high-quality user environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and review user-generated content in German, ensuring compliance with platform policies and content guidelines.

  • Identify and flag potentially harmful, inappropriate, or sensitive material.

  • Maintain a high standard of accuracy and attention to detail when moderating content.

  • Make prompt and logical decisions, balancing policy guidelines with cultural context.

  • Escalate complex content issues to senior teams when necessary.

  • Collaborate with policy, legal, and product teams to improve content standards and moderation workflows.

  • Participate in ongoing training sessions to stay updated on internal policies and global regulations.

Requirements:

  • Fluent in German (native or near-native level) and proficient in English.

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to analyze content in context.

  • Excellent judgment and emotional resilience when dealing with sensitive or disturbing content.

  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment.

  • Good understanding of internet platforms, social media, and online communities.

  • Eligible to work in Spain.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in content moderation, trust & safety, or online compliance.

  • Familiarity with EU content regulations and platform-specific policies.

  • Knowledge of additional languages is a plus.

  • Background in media, journalism, communication, or law is a plus.
